How To Install

To begin using Prescription Magic you will need approx 15 minutes to complete the following steps:

• Download and run the Prescription Magic setup package
• Accept the Microsoft .Net End User Licence Agreement (EULA)
• Accept the Microsoft SQL Server Express EULA
• Follow the prompts in the Prescription Magic setup wizard

Note: You will need to have administrative access to install these features.

Install Instructions

1. Once the download is complete, run the setup package to begin the Installation process.

   

2. As the Prescription Magic application requires the .Net Framework 2.0 and SQL Express Database engine, the installer will check to see if these components are installed.

   If either or both of these components are required, you will be prompted with the standard EULA for the components which will be installed as part of this setup process.

   Accept the default install location (recommended).

   

3. At the Initial setup screen, read the introduction and click Next.

   

4. Select the folder you would like the Prescription Magic application to be installed into.

   It is advisable to leave this as the default setting. Make sure that "Everyone" is selected if the option is available.

   

5. Confirm the Installation by clicking the Next button.

   

6. Setup will install and configure the Prescription Magic database automatically from this point.

   

7. Setup is now complete. Click the "Close button" to finish the installation.

   

8. Run Windows Update to ensure you have the latest service packs for the .Net framework and SQL server express. (recommended)

9. Your now ready to use Prescription Magic!
